Битикле́ (Греческая лестница)

Россия, Кавказ, Кабардино-Балкария, Чегемское ущелье. Возле селения Эль Тюбю находится сооружение Битикле́ — выбитые в скале ступени, называемые Греческой лестницей и узкая полка шириной 40-100 см. вдоль левой скальной стены на высоте до 100 м. Здесь когда-то располагалась Кавказская епископия, отсюда и название. Как пишет историк Исмаил Мизиев, приехавший сюда в 1743 году дворянин Алексей Тузов видел в одной из пещер, к которым вела наскальная лестница, хранящиейся в сундуках 8 книг на греческом языке. Одним из томов оказалось Евангелие XV века.
