Все щелевые каньоны Аризоны и Юты созданы ливневыми наводнениями, когда огромное количество воды с громадных площадей устремляется в узкую щель в пещанике. И тогда обычно сухой каньон за считаные минуты заполняется водой. Иногда во время мусонных ливней буквально за 2-3 минуты вода поднимается на 40-50 метров. А вот после того, как вода уходит на стенках каньона остаются отпечатки этих разрушительных штормов....
