Mayfly (Ephemeroptera)

Подёнки — древний отряд крылатых насекомых, включающий более 3000 видов. Личинка развивается в воде. Узнать их легко. У них две пары сетчатых прозрачных и очень тонких крыльев, причем передние всегда гораздо крупнее задних (у некоторых поденок задние крылья совсем не развиты), а на конце брюшка — три, или реже две, длинные тонкие хвостовые нити. Имаго подёнок живут от нескольких часов до нескольких дней и не питаются.
