The artist's lot is not easy, nor is it obvious to the causal viewer. Whatever the medium--word, paint, stone, film, or pixel--whatever the genre--figure, still life, architecture, reportage, or children--the artist, the good artist has insight absent from most, the great artist has imagination that opens windows into that world chosen, and you are adept and wise. I suspect you have learned the distance appropriate to letting kids be kids. For the most part, children rarely take direction, and if they do it is counterfeit and unbelievable. Beyond the beauty of your insight, or perhaps because of it, your work is both gorgeous and honest.
