Contemplation

There are times when you just stop and enjoy the natural spectacle. The day was foggy and gloomy, typical for Iceland. As I was composing this shot, my initial vision for it was to have a "mystical" look. However, the weather was clearly not of the same opinion, and suddenly the clouds opened and illuminated the steep slopes of Vestrahorn. The light, the "flying" clouds across the mountain, the perfect mirror reflections of the water and the alien structure of the soil created a surreal atmosphere.
