The Jetty

Minimalist, almost abstract. The jetty’s geometric lines cut through the still water, leading the eye into a vast, empty horizon. The long exposure smooths the surface into a mirror, doubling the structure’s form. The grayscale enhances the sense of timelessness—no wind, no motion, just structure and void.

The composition feels deliberate: three frames, diminishing into the distance. The single vertical post near the back adds a subtle break in symmetry. Clean, quiet, powerful in its restraint.

One question for Aws: How long was the exposure? The water’s glassy surface suggests a good stretch, but I’m curious about the exact timing and whether you adjusted for tidal movement.
