The photo was taken in Varanasi,India. I was on a vacation and taking a boat ride in the Ganges with Mr. Rakesh, the boatman. According to Rakesh these migratory seagulls come during winter and stay there for next two or three months. as the temperature started to rise they set their flight towards north again.

The photo was taken during the famous Rajakatra Holi festival in Kolkata. This person is a pickup van driver who was going to deliver products and on the way he also became part of the holi procession and coloured himself up with the colour powders by the help of the local residents of the locality.
