Sunset at Mahana Point in Nusa Ceningan near Bali is always a popular spot for a surf. This is an advanced reef break so only the top few can catch a wave here, but even if you can't surf that well this is a great spot to catch the sunset and enjoy a beer with friends!

View from above of the fields around Pemuteran in the golden morning light. I got up at 4 am to walk up the hill behind Pemuteran to take timelapse shots of the sunrise, and also brought the drone with me. It was worth all the effort in the end!

These little tiny squat lobster are actually fairly common but they are so well hidden in the grooves of barrel sponges that they are hard to find and photograph, which makes them very special!

The kite festival in Bali is an iconic event here and there is a lot more to the traditions and skills needed to fly these massive kites than initially expected. Its a very cool team sport and a great photo opportunity too!

A green turtle swims through early morning sunbeams. This turtle was initially resting on the coral reef and appeared to have a fishing line caught in its mouth, which if you look closely you can see is slightly deformed. I tried to "rescue" it, but unfortunately for me it was actually munching on a man of war jellyfish...

A green turtle swims across a beautiful shallow coral reef. There is a snippet of a snells window in the clear blue water above and the colours and patterns of the turtle's shell blend perfectly with the soft coral growing over the reef. This picture is shot only with ambient light and in such shallow water the colours are still rich and vibrant.
