Hello Elizabeth, they live in a wetland and the male is so aggressive during mating season that they attacked my hat a few times!!! We can find them even in backyards in Toronto, but during summertime, I was lucky to take this photo clearly, thank you for your attention.

They usually fly to our area only for wintering, but they do not nest and it is not easy to see the babies. Good luck!
